Cal/OSHA reminds employers to protect workers amid high heat across California

OSHA found Union Pacific violated the Federal Railroad Safety Act when it removed and later fired a North Little Rock yardman who stopped work for nearby lightning, and ordered at least $304,869 plus attorney’s fees, which the railroad is contesting.

NTSB updates preliminary findings on the fatal Miami cargo jet runway overrun

The October 1 update on 21 Air flight 7598 says the Boeing 767 touched down at 158 knots, a go-around was called after landing, and five people on the ground were killed.

1 dead in small-plane crash at Paine Field Airport

The Seattle Times reported that a Glasair crashed on takeoff at Paine Field in Snohomish County, killing the pilot, and that the NTSB will investigate.
